I heard Climber Sky playing in/around the toilet again so I called her name to get her to come to me. She started crying, I only assumed she had crawled in again but this is what I found instead. She couldn't get down!

My Dad

We are experiencing the first "real" cold-front of the year. And it makes me think about my Dad. He LOVED this time of year! Cold weather was his favorite. He would sit outside and just enjoy the breeze, the birds chirping, the squirrels running around, and the groups of geese flying north. I saw the first group of geese this evening.....

It has taken some time to get over what I went through with my Dad the last year or two of his life. It wasn't good. No one knows everything, it is something I don't like to talk about. It wasn't good, I will say again.

He said Goodbye to me in a dream the day he passed away. Weird. My mom had almost the same dream. If you don't believe in that sort of stuff, you should! My Deeda did the same thing for me. But what I say next might freak you out.

About three months ago Skyler was looking at pics on the fridge of everyone. We have Boo, Skyler, Haley, Coach Fran, you name it. There is one pic in particular that peaqued her interest. It was a pic my former step-mother took of Dad, Haley, and Boo when they went fishing. Cute pic by the way... Sky looked at it and said, "Pop".

Once the chills stop going down your spine, it becomes "neat". She knows who he is! How? I don't know. But she knows. The kids called my Dad, "Pop-Pop". Now after chills go away again.....

I just figured it was time to let go of my anger, frustration, and hurt. This post is for Dad. I know he is stil around, watching us. The first cold front is coming in and he will probably be at the farm, watching the deer for the rest of the season. Maybe he will be watching me and Jackie deer hunting for his first time!

What A Weekdend!

Boy am I glad this past weekend is over. Don't get me wrong, it was extremely exciting for the family but also extremely tiring. Saturday Jackie's football team the Buccaneer Reds played in Huntsville vs. the Buccaneer Blacks. It was a shut-out, the Reds won it, the boys brought their A game once again. You really need to see them play, it is relly exciting! This is the silly team picture that the boys requested we do.... Oh! And we took Skyler to the football game. I had to chase her the entire time up and down the sidelines and keep her off of the field!


Once this game was over, we hauled butt back home for a baseball tournament, we played two games back-to-back and won both by shut out; has to be some sort of record! We had to come back Sunday to play some more. Jackie didn't make it to the first game because we had football pictures but his team won and we made it to the championship game. This pic shows the outcome.

Summer 2008

Well this summer sucks on a personal level but I won't bore you with the details.

It surely has been interesting with Skyler getting into everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING! You can see I am telling the truth in the following picture. That little squirt does some of the silliest things. She head bangs to rock music, she spins in circles, and she dances too to random music or commercials on tv. She keeps us entertained for sure!



We had a family reunion in Snook and this was taken on the swingset there. Funny, they didn't have toys and such to play on when we were kids! All we had was a giant tree laying on the ground that was surrounded by poison ivy and thorn trees!



Ever seen the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants? If so, you will recognize Mr. Crabs in this next pic. See the little red claws? Just kidding, you thought it really was him didn't you?! It is actually Skyler, wearing her brother Boo's boxing gloves. What a little athlete we have here, a professional swimmer and boxer!


We are going to the beach this weekend for the entire weekend away from Bryan, TX! I will surely have lots of neat pics to post soon. And yes, I will post soon and not wait 6 months to do so. :)
